PLEDGE: I'm A Small Business Owner & I Support LGBT Civil Rights in Georgia
Most states have laws that explicitly prohibit discrimination on the basis of things like race, religious beliefs, military or disability status, and others—but not Georgia.
Georgia has NO statewide protections, and federal law doesn't prohibit discriminating against someone because they are gay or transgender. That means LGBT Georgians are at heightened risk of being wrongfully fired, evicted or denied service in public places like restaurants, shopping malls, doctors offices, and hotels.
This hurts our economy by making us less attractive to potential employees and investment opportunities. That's why small businesses are joining our coalition to pass an LGBTQ-inclusive civil rights law.
